I am officially a college graduate. May 9th I walked across a stage, shook some hands, and later on switched a tassel. This was the ceremony that symbolizes all the work that I accomplished in the past 4 years of my life.
I got to thinking about it, and I kind of felt the whole thing was silly. Here it is, a couple of hours, and everyone is congratulating me on my accomplishment. Yes, I understand what it means, but all I did that day was dress myself, walk across a stage without falling down, and follow all of the commencement rules.
It was an exciting day, no doubt. I guess I wasn't over-the-top excited because I had support all along the way. It was the little moments of my college career wherein I celebrated. Four great years of memories. Four years of life well lived where I have no regrets.
And now here I am. An "adult." I have a job. A house with 4 other women. Bills. Responsibilities. And lots of free time.
I feel I need projects, or some direction. I don't want to be stagnant. Anyone have a good book, or a project for me? ha. I've got ideas for a couple of art projects...but I need some inspiration. Any input is welcome. Thanks!
